SPIRIT CENTRAL – 2026 TEAM / ATHLETE POLICIES "*" indicates required fields Athlete Name* First Last Date Of Birth* Month Day Year Parent / Guardian Name* First Last Email* Phone*Athlete Attendance Policy*Attendance is crucial to the success of any team. Therefore, each practice in which we do not have a full team significantly puts the team at a disadvantage Especially during the competitive part of the season. Summer Absences (June-August) All athletes will get 4 excused summer absences to use at their discretion Competitive Months (September-April) Novice & Prep Athletes: 5 Unexcused absences will be allowed Elite Athletes: 3 unexcused absences will be allowed We encourage all athletes to take time off to spend with family and friends! However, All Star Cheerleading is a team sport and athlete attendance is crucial to team success. Therefore, it is imperative for all teams to have full team practices. All absences must be approved by the Team’s contact. EXCUSED ABSENCES (Still contact team coach for approval) *All excused absences must have documented proof* Serious illness (Doctor's Note Required) Family emergencies/ Death of a Family Member Scheduled Vacations per vacation policy listed above. If an athlete misses any of these 3 practices for any reason (excused or unexcused) it will result in the athlete not being allowed to compete at that particular event. This is to ensure athlete and team success. We do understand that sometimes the reason for an athlete missing one of the 3 practices is a valid one. However, the policy will still be put into place and the athlete will not be allowed to participate in that event, no matter what the circumstances. Coaches will determine when the athlete can return to the routine, and in what capacity (based on the number of scheduled practices between competitions). *Gym owner reserves the right to adjust this policy due to extenuating circumstances* Transportation to competitions is the responsibility of each team member and his/her family. Attendance at competitions is MANDATORY. Failing to attend a competition could result in your athlete going to an alternate status. Athletes must arrive at competition meet times in full uniform, and hair done. If you need help with hair styles please reach out to your team coach. Travel Competitions (Elite Travel ONLY): Travel costs are NOT included in monthly tuition and are the responsibility of the parent. Athletes and families will have set travel dates in which they can travel. Please do not book your travel arrangements without being notified of these dates to ensure your athlete is not missing any mandatory practices. **Some Travel Competitions are “stay to play” events. This means that we are REQUIRED to stay at one of the designated hotels assigned by the event producers. More information on this will be out in early fall. All performances and competitions are MANDATORY for athletes to attend. Missing ANY of the events could result in your athlete moving to an alternate role on his/or her team. (We do understand illnesses may arise and all staff members and coaches are prepared to work with parents to make modifications for the athlete within the routine when necessary. However, with just one athlete not attending the ENTIRE team is unable to be scored properly. Long term injuries or those needing to excessively modify will be replaced with an alternate until the medical issue is resolved. In order to return we must get a doctor's note from a medical professional clearing the athlete for participation. This is for the safety of the athlete. Once cleared coaches will decide if athletes are able to return into all choreographed positions. This decision is made based on the number of scheduled practices before a competition, the athletes ability to perform in all required sections of the routine with proper technique and the success of the stunt groups the athlete is in. Ice Packs: We do have ice packs at the gym. They are reserved for emergencies and unexpected injuries. Athletes that require daily icing of long term injuries will be required to bring their own disposable ice packs to practices each week As mentioned above only illnesses and sicknesses with a doctor's note are excused. An excessive amount of doctors notes will result in a meeting with the gym owner/coaches. If an athlete is not feeling well without a doctor's note we expect them to come to practice. Modifications will be made to activity if necessary, but missing all together does not allow for the team to have an effective practice. I understand and agree to the ATHLETE INJURY POLICYFall School Sports & Town Sports Commitments* Athletes ARE allowed to miss up to ONE hour of practice a week for fall sports. We will allow this only between the dates of 9/7/2026 - 11/26/2026. Before and after these dates all practice time is MANDATORY and missing time for outside activities will result in an unexcused absence. This includes all performances, awards ceremonies, additional practices etc. Elite Summit Teams ONLY: Athletes that miss practice time in the fall will be REQUIRED to make up missed time with the following: One 45 minute tumbling class OR one 30 minute jump class & One 45 minute stunt group session (The entire stunt group will come in to make up missed time so they do not fall behind) *These classes MUST be made up the week following the missed practice time. Failing to make up both the tumbling class and the stunt session will result in an unexcused absence. Athletes who need to miss a FULL practice due to a practice, game or other event in the fall will need to use an unexcused absence. No exceptions will be made to this rule. *These classes MUST be made up the week following the missed practice time.
